Leroy the Duck

I designed Leroy for a comic, Leroy N’ the Rainbow Squad, co-created with Yessica Kim, Noel Ayard, and Tony Hong, for nonprofit LGBT support organization It Gets Better.

“Always anxious and ashamed to share his Hawaiian shirt collection, Leroy was the outcast of his necktie wearing flock. Neckties just don’t go well with Hawaiian shirts. He did his best to stay in line with the flock, but it was never a good match. Eventually he not only finds himself, he finds a new and accepting family while also trading in his necktie for a neckerchief.”
